Packing Update + CRASH event this Saturday!
about 2 years ago – Wed, Nov 23, 2022 at 10:58:09 PM

Hi there,

So many of you would now have received your annuals. Been a mammoth task this last week - the perfect storm with sending the Annuals (over 4,000 sent out so far), issue #7 of ZZAP! Amiga, issue #12 of CRASH and issue #38 of FUSION.

The package sent will contain the Annuals, Calendar, Pen and, where appropriate, Fusion Dreamcast and Commodore Zone. If you have not received the latter 2 magazine, and were expecting them, there will be a sweep up at the end. Other perks will follow over the next few weeks.

150 packages went out this morning with Royal Mail. We have 2 days of postage strike now in the UK. Looking at Backerkit, there is around 340 odd packages still to do out of 1,800 - I won't be able to do these now until Sunday, then send them on Monday.

We have our CRASH event on Saturday - so I am going to spend some time sorting out that now. Over 600 people coming so far - we have increased the size of the conference hall so have made some more tickets available. The evening was restricted to 125 - now we can cater for 300. So you can get tickets from here now : https://buytickets.at/fusionretrobooks/733819

Oh yea, the A4 sample Annuals have come back - the rest will be with me by the end of next week. You can still pre-order these here: https://fusionretrobooks.com/collections/2023-annuals. These will be sent out well in advance for XMAS!!

Cheers, Chris

Annuals arriving on Tuesday!
about 2 years ago – Fri, Nov 04, 2022 at 11:05:26 PM

Hi there,

The A5 Annuals are arriving on Tuesday. The A4 Annuals are arriving the 1st week of December.

Thanks to all who have filled in the Backerkit questionnaire.  1,288 / 1,793 have now filled it in so as soon as the Annuals arrive, I can start processing your orders. Some of you have messaged me with questions - I will reply later today (Friday).

Over 20 of you do not have valid E-mails on Kickstarter - so sending you the survey has bounced. I will look to message you with the link.

For the others (nearly 500), PLEASE fill in the survey ASAP to ensure I have numbers and can start sending you your goods.

Thanks, Chris

Update - the A5 Annuals are nearly on their way!
about 2 years ago – Fri, Nov 04, 2022 at 03:31:19 AM

Hi there,

Suffice to say we have been very busy in the background since the end of the campaign.

The A5 annuals have been printed and are being sent from Turkey tomorrow. They should arrive towards the middle of November when I will start to send them out.

Here are a few pics of CRASH sent to me today:

2,250 CD type calendars are being delivered tomorrow.

2,500 pens on order, back on the 1st November:

1,500 Fusion Dreamcast ordered - back on the 9th November.

I am working on the Backerkit questionnaire now - there will be some bargains on there for backers from the back catalogue of Fusion Retro Books. Hope to send out the first round later this evening.

The CRASH Live event is on the 26th November - we only have around 40 tickets left from the 600 available - there will be no tickets on sale at the door, so be quick: https://buytickets.at/fusionretrobooks/733819

A4 Annuals

The A4 Annuals will be back early December, so there is every chance you will also get these for XMAS depending on location - you can pre-order those here: https://fusionretrobooks.com/collections/2023-annuals

Cheers, Chris

Thank you!!

Hi there,

Thanks again for your support on this campaign.

The A5 copies of the Annuals went to print a couple of weeks. I am now working on the A4 cover templates to give to the printer on Monday, along with the numbers each of CRASH, ZZAP! 64, ZZAP! Amiga and AMTIXCPC I need in A4.

If you still want to, you can order the A4 Annuals here: https://fusionretrobooks.com/collections/2023-annuals - if you can do this over the next day or so, this will give me a better idea of numbers to give to the printer on Monday.

As you know, Oli passed away only a few weeks ago. Roger is suffering with MND, and is in the latter stages. We at Fusion Retro Books support the MND charity - if you would like to give a donation, the link is: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/zzap642021

Thanks again,

Regards, Chris

Book on Revolution Software - who is not a fan of Broken Sword and Beneath a Steel Sky?
over 2 years ago – Tue, Oct 11, 2022 at 12:34:30 AM

Hi there,

Friend of Fusion Retro Books, Tony Warriner co-founder of Revolution Software, is currently running a campaign to fund the print of his brand new book on the company.

This is one I have backed as I spent all my spare time in Uni playing some of their games - mainly Beneath a Steel Sky on my Amiga 500!

The link to the campaign is here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tonywarriner/revolution-the-quest-for-game-development-greatness
